LAB Session - Samantha Gilbertson
Living by faith is a long, slow and deep walk that carries us through every landscape and season we can imagine. Along the way, questions, doubt and fear arrive and travel with our faith, hope and love. In my experience, learning to acknowledge and even embrace this commingled company within takes time, wisdom and sacred friendship. C.S. Lewis found this type of friendship in his relationship with a spiritual director who he described as “a man of ripe spiritual wisdom, noble minded but of an almost childlike simplicity and innocence.” I sat down with Samatha Gilbertson to talk about spiritual direction and the gift of not walking alone.
Samantha is in healthcare ministry, where she maintains dual leadership roles in Spiritual Care and Mission Integration. She graduated from Portland Seminary, of George Fox University, with a Masters in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship and continued her studies to obtain her Spiritual Direction certification.
Join us to learn more about spiritual direction and for our conversation on grief and loving well, as we enter the holiday season.
